Grilled Cheddar & Apple Sandwich And Pineapple-Strawberry Cream Cheese Sandwich

Who doesn't love a delicious and nutritious sandwich. Here are two recipes that kids as well as adults will love. Both are made with fruits and cheese.The nice thing about these sandwiches is you don't have to follow the recipe exactly. You can use more cheese or more fruit. Custom make it to suit your taste buds. I prefer to add a bit more whipped cream to satisfy my sweet teeth. Just make sure the spread is not too liquid or you'll end up with a soggy sandwich. Squeeze out most of the juice from the pineapple. I have used canned pineapple here but you can crush fresh pineapple too.
The Cheddar and Apple sandwich is a
favorite that I make often. I like to grind black pepper on the apple slices but again that is a personal preference.
The Cheddar and apple sandwich is ideal for lunch box. The Pineapple-Strawberry sandwich will not hold up good in hot weather but it will be ideal for lunch boxes during winter. Just wrap each half of the sandwich in cling wrap before placing in the lunch box to prevent a mess.

For Grilled Cheddar & Apple Sandwich:

Place the cheese slice and apples on top of a bread slice.

Sprinkle the grated cheese on to of the apple slices.

Close the sandwich another slice of bread.

Grill the sandwich.

Bread 2 slices
Smoked Cheddar 1 slice
Thinly sliced Apple, a few slices
Grated cheese, any kind 2 tbsps
Black pepper (optional)

Preheat a panini press or heat a skillet on the stove at medium heat.
< Lay the cheese on a slice of bread.
Place as many slices of apple you like on the cheese.
Grind black pepper on the apple slices if you prefer.
Sprinkle the grated cheese over the apple slices.
Close the sandwich with the second slice of bread.
Place the sandwich in the panini press or on the skillet and grill each side for a minute or two.
Cut in half and serve.
